3. Sea Isle City Skimmer Festival

The Skimmer Festival is Sea Isle City’s largest summer festival and features two days of family-friendly activities and entertainment, including a seaside vendor craft market, live music, a dance party, an antique auto show, free guided historical trolley tours, and a variety of free family activities, including a photo booth, a moon bounce, balloon artists, face-painters, “Waxy Hands” and more. 4. Battle of Monmouth Reenactment

The annual Battle of Monmouth Reenactment at Monmouth Battlefield State Park is a full weekend of living history. Visitors can watch the soldiers clean their muskets while their women prepare what may be their men’s last meal. Some of the officers may be drilling their men while others prepare for battle. Keep a close eye on your children or they may be drafted into one of the armies! Other fun things to do this at the reenactment include educational and entertaining historical presentations, tours of the camps, and shopping at the sutler (merchant who sells provisions to an army troops) area. 5. Open Cockpit Weekend – Aviation Hall of Fame of NJ

Come to Open Cockpit Weekend at the Aviation Hall of Fame of New Jersey and get an up-close look at a rare Lockheed Bushmaster, a Convair 880 circa 1958, a MAS*H Bell helicopter, a Coast Guard Helicopter, an OV-1 Mohawk observation plane, a Walter Aircraft Rescue & Fire Fighting Truck and a Cobra Gunship Helicopter.
