Food Network Names South Jersey Pumpkin Show Top Pumpkin Festival in NJ
Celebrate the autumn season at the South Jersey Pumpkin Show! This amazing family friendly New Jersey fall festival – named the best pumpkin festival in the state by Food Network Magazine – takes place this weekend (October 13-15) and features fun activities for all ages.

Friday night’s activities at the South Jersey Pumpkin Show will include Friday night readings of the Legend of Sleepy Hollow and the arrival of the Headless Horseman, a Halloween costume contest and parade for kids ages 4-10, free trick or treating for kids under 10, and the lighting of the new Fall Festival of Trees exhibit which features colorful trees decorated in Halloween, Thanksgiving and Autumn themes.
The fun continues on Saturday with a tractor pull, hayrides, a pumpkin dessert contest (and free sampling!), a decorated baby strollers and wagons parade (ages 6 months – 3 years), and a pumpkin toss for the adults ($500 in prize money!).
The final day of the South Jersey Pumpkin Show will include the Little Miss & Mister Pumpkin Show pageant, the All Breed Dog Parade & Contest (entrance fee can of pet food for animal shelters).
Throughout the entire weekend, the South Jersey Pumpkin Show will feature 100+ artists and craftsmen displaying and selling their creations, live bands, wine sampling, pony rides, the Salem County Fall Home Show, the Fall Festival of Trees exhibit, free pumpkins and gourd for the first 200 kids in attendance daily, pumpkins and mums for sale, amusement rides, amazing food from the festival food court, NJ’s biggest pumpkin pie (kids can guess how long it took to bake – the winning entry wins a $100 Toys-R-Us gift certificate), ceramic painting for adults and kids, 50 scarecrows on display, painted & decorated pumpkins, sand art, face painting, kids straw games, and much more!
The South Jersey Pumpkin Show takes place at the Salem County Fairgrounds at 735 Harding Highway in Woodstown NJ. Show hours are 5-10pm on Friday (10/13) and 10am-5pm on Saturday and Sunday (10/14 & 10/15). Admission to the South Jersey Pumpkin Festival is free; there is a $5 parking fee (good for all 3 days). A portion of the proceeds of the festival donated to local non-profit organizations and the Scott R.W. Bailey Memorial Scholarship Memorial.
