3. Pine Creek Railroad
Pine Creek Railroad is operated by the New Jersey Museum of Transportation and is located within Allaire State Park. This Central New Jersey scenic railroad is one of the oldest operating narrow gauge railway exhibits in the country and offers scenic train rides on weekends. 4. Whippany Railway Museum
The Whippany Railway Museum is dedicated to preserving the history of New Jersey’s railroading history. Originally the home of the Morris County Central Railroad, the museum operates scenic train rides on select weekends throughout the year. This fall, visitors can enjoy two fun railroad experiences at the Whippany Railway Museum. The Pumpkin Festival features a round-trip excursion on the “Pumpkinliner” as well as a Halloween craft and vendor fair. and family-friendly activities and entertainment. On the Halloween Express, children of all ages are encouraged to come dressed in their Halloween costumes, helping to make the train a kid-friendly spooky sight. Tricks or Treats will be given out to passengers on the trains!
