Belleville 2017 Memorial Day Ceremonies

10:00am – Rutgers Street Bridge
10:30am – Town Hall
11:00am – Veterans Monument
Belleville will observe Memorial Day with a wreath-laying ceremony honoring deceased sailors and members of the Merchant Marine at the Rutgers Street Bridge (10am), a ceremony honoring fallen firemen and police officers at Town Hall (10:30am), and a memorial ceremony for all deceased veterans at the Veterans Monument at 396 Union Avenue (11am).
Bloomfield 2017 Memorial Day Parade & Ceremony

The Bloomfield Memorial Day Parade will begin at 9:30am at Brookside Park (corner of Broad and Bay Streets) and travel down Broad Street to the Town Green. The Memorial Day Ceremony will take place at the Town Green immediately following the parade.
West Essex 2017 Memorial Day Parade

The West Essex Memorial Day Parade begin at Bloomfield and Forest Avenues, head west on Bloomfield Avenue, and end at Crane Park with the Memorial Day Ceremony.
East Orange 2017 Memorial Day Ceremony & Parade

The East Orange Memorial Day service will be held at City Hall Plaza at 9:30am. The East Orange Memorial Day parade will begin at 11am at Central and South Arlington Avenues.
Essex Fells 2017 Memorial Day Service

A Memorial Day service will be held in front of the Essex Fells municipal building (255 Roseland Avenue).
Glen Ridge 2017 Memorial Day Parade and Service

The Glen Ridge Memorial Day Parade begins at Ridgewood Avenue and Baldwin Street and marches to the Glen Ridge War Memorials in front of the Ridgewood Avenue School, where a traditional service will be held. In the event of rain, the service will be held in the auditorium. Following the service, a town picnic will be held at the Glen Ridge train station with food, amusements and live music (weather permitting).
Livingston 2017 Memorial Day Service and Parade

Livingston’s annual Memorial Day observances will begin with a ceremonial service at the Memorial Oval to commemorate those who have died defending the United States. Following the ceremony, the Memorial Day parade will begin at the Oval, proceeding down Livingston Avenue, ending at Congressional Way. In the event of inclement weather, the service will be held at the Livingston High School Auditorium.
Maplewood 2017 Memorial Day Parade & Ceremony

The Maplewood Memorial Day parade will travel down Parker Avenue to Maplewood Avenue, Baker Street and Valley Street to Town Hall (574 Valley Street), where a Memorial Day ceremony will take place.
Nutley 2017 Memorial Day Parade and Ceremonies

Nutley’s Memorial Day observances will begin with opening ceremonies at the World War II monument located on Vincent Place between the Nutley Public Library and Town Hall at 10:00am. Following this, the welcome of the parade participants will take place at the Park Oval, with the parade stepping off at 11:00am. The parade route will be the same as previous years – Chestnut Street to Passaic Avenue to Centre Street to Franklin Avenue, with reviewing stage in front of JHW Middle School.
Verona 2017 Memorial Day Parade and Ceremony
10am
The annual Verona Memorial Day Parade will begin at 10am at Everett Field. A Memorial Day ceremony will be held immediately following the parade in the Verona Civic Center.
West Orange 2017 Memorial Day Observance
10am
A Memorial Day Observance will be held on the steps of West Orange Town Hall (66 Main Street).
