The Salem County Historical Society Museum enhances the awareness and appreciation of the heritage of Salem County through permanent exhibits such as A Legacy for Salem County, The Alexander Grant House and Keeping Room, The John Jones Law Office, The Society’s Stone Barn, and 19th Century Log Cabin Education Center. The museum’s collection includes Salem County glass, earthenware, paintings, china, decorative arts, local textiles, carriages and buggies, sleighs, a two horse treadmill, a horse drawn hearse, and more. The Stone Barn houses a fully equipped blacksmith shop, our extensive collection of Lenni Lenape artifacts, and farm equipment from various periods.
