Bergen County History Day 2018

Have you ever wondered what impact immigration and the railroads had on the development of the towns in Northwest Bergen County?  On History Day 2018, twelve Bergen County museums and historic homes will be open to the public for visitors to explore how both immigrants and the railroads helped to define the villages, towns, and boroughs of Northwest Bergen County.

Tickets for History Day 2018 will be on sale starting April 1st at:

  • The Hermitage, 335 N. Franklin Ave. Ho-Ho-Kus,
    Wednesday through Sunday from 1pm- 4pm;
  • The Mahwah Museum, 201 Franklin Turnpike Mahwah,
    Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday from 1pm – 4pm; and
  • The Schoolhouse Museum, 650 E. Glen Avenue Ridgewood,  Thursdays and Saturdays 1pm – 3pm and Sundays 2pm – 4pm.

Tickets purchased in advance will be $10 for adults 17 and over, children and students 16 and under will have free admission.  Tickets purchased on History Day at the participating museums will be $15 per person, 17 and over.  This one low-ticket price allows entrance to all of the NW Bergen History Coalition museums and historic homes listed below at a savings of over $55.

  • The Museum at the Station in Glen Rock NJ
  • The Old Stone House in Ramsey NJ
  • The Zabriskie House in Wyckoff NJ
  • The Hopper-Goetschius Museum in Upper Saddle River NJ
