Celebrate Earth Day at the Green Village Pond Conservation Area, an old homestead now Chatham Township property. Volunteers will pick up trash, prune brambles, spread woodchips on the trail, and enjoy spring. The goal is to create a pleasant site for nature walks and nature study. Free event; refreshments provided.
Raritan Headwaters Association’s Stream Cleanup

Celebrate Earth Day by cleaning up local streams and rivers! Each spring Raritan Headwaters Association organizes cleanup programs to protect water quality and promote public stewardship of local streams and rivers. This year’s stream cleanup will be held on Saturday, April 16, 2016 from 9 am until 12 pm at multiple locations around the watershed in Hunterdon County, Somerset County, and Morris County.
