Celebrate Earth Day in Ridgewood with a plant sale, Daffy Dog Parade, nature themed arts and crafts, program featuring Village leadership talking about sustainability, environmentally-friendly exhibits, children’s activities, music, and food. This year’s theme is “Butterflies, Bees, & Bats – Save Our Pollinators”. Ridgewood will be in full bloom with the 19,000 daffodil bulbs planted by the Conservancy for Ridgewood Public Lands. This Earth Day event is free.

The Party for the Planet event is completely free and open to all zoo visitors – so bring your friends along! All children will receive a Party for the Planet “passport.” Get the passport stamped by the exhibitors and receive a small prize from the zoo!

This fun Bergen County Earth Day event will feature children’s activities, the recycled regatta, kayaking, a fishing derby, great food, live music, and exhibits by “green” vendors, local Environmental Commissions, and other non-profit environmental groups.

Celebrate Earth Day by helping to slam dunk the junk in Hackensack! Volunteers are invited to help clean up parks and common areas throughout the City of Hackensack. Gloves and trash bags will be provided. Coffee and muffins will be available at check in courtesy of “Java’s Brewin” and complimentary pizza and refreshments will be provided following the clean up event.
