The Air Victory Museum chronicles the history of air travel beginning with the Wright brothers’ flight through modern-day aviation. The Millville Army Air Field Museum
The Millville Army Air Field Museum houses thousands of WWII artifacts of local and national interest. Located in the original base headquarters of the Millville Army Air Field, “America’s First Defense Airport”, this South Jersey aviation museum is dedicated to the ten thousand men and women who served here during World War II and pays special tribute to the 14 pilots who died here during training. Learn about the role that African Americans (the Tuskegee Airmen), Japanese Americans, Native Americans (the Navajo Code Talkers), and women played in winning the war. The Aviation Hall of Fame & Museum of New Jersey
The Aviation Hall of Fame and Museum of New Jersey is dedicated to the preservation of the Garden State’s distinguished, two-century aviation and space heritage. More than 170 men and women whose outstanding achievements in aviation and aeronautics have brought global recognition to New Jersey are enshrined in the Aviation Hall of Fame. Visitors can learn more about them as well as view historic air and space equipment, artifacts, photography, fine art an extensive model collection, the rocket engine that propelled the X-15 to incredible speed and altitude records, as well as a number of restored aircraft and helicopters. The Aviation Hall of Fame Museum hosts Open Cockpit Weekends several times throughout the year. Parties and scout programs are also offered. The Naval Air Station Wildwood Aviation Museum
The Naval Air Station Wildwood Museum (NASW) features over 2 dozen planes and helicopters as well as aircraft engines, photographs, hands on interactive exhibits, and special exhibits. The museum is located in historic Hangar #1 on the site of the original Naval Air Station Wildwood which was commissioned in April of 1943 and was a dive bomber squadron training facility until 1945. There were 129 crashes on or around the base and 42 airmen died while training there. The Naval Air Station Wildwood Museum is located at the Cape May Airport in Cape May NJ. Learn more HERE.
