I’m a Jersey Girl. I was born and raised in New Jersey, I’ve chosen to stay here, and I’ll probably die here. I adore this state! New Jersey is the home to rockers and revolutionaries, poets and presidents, authors and astronauts, sluggers and suffragettes. Together, we are an amazing combination of people. Gritty, tough, sophisticated, compassionate, industrious… we New Jerseyans have it all. And so does our state – if you can’t find something to do in New Jersey, you aren’t looking very hard. We’ve got mountains and beaches. We’ve got cities and farm country. Historic sites, nature preserves, art museums, fantastic shopping, fabulous dining, awesome sporting events, street fairs, farm fairs – these are a mere sampling of the variety of things to do in New Jersey.

I’ve always loved exploring the different things to do in New Jersey. As a college student, it wasn’t unusual for my roommate and I to jump in the car and take off on a spur of the moment road trip. Things haven’t changed much. One of my favorite things to do with my family is to explore a new and different (or sometimes an old favorite) New Jersey destination. We have tons of fun, learn new things, and we’re making a lifetime of memories along the way.

I’m so passionate about my New Jersey journeys that I’d like to share them with you. Whether you’ve lived here all your life or you’re new to New Jersey, I think you’ll find Things to Do In New Jersey informative, exciting, and useful. You’ll learn more about the “big name” New Jersey destinations – like Liberty State Park and the beaches and boardwalks of the Jersey shore – but you’ll also find some new, lesser-known Jersey gems that are likely to become some of your favorite places. Thanks for stopping by – please come back soon and do invite your friends to visit too!
