Things to know about apple picking at Johnson’s Corner Farm: Johnson’s is a very popular attraction on the weekend in South Jersey. Be prepared for big crowds. Apple picking hayrides are $3.75 per rider. Johnson’s grows 10 varieties of apples. Other farm activities include Discovery Barnyard / Animal Farm (climbing structures, shaded eating area, pipe slide, wacky bridge, rope maze, balance beam, tire climb, and animal feeding), pumpkin picking, Fall Festival weekends with corn maze, live music, moon bounce, and Farm House kitchen food tent.

The market offers fresh fruit and vegetables from Mood’s and other local New Jersey farms, mouth-watering apple cider doughnuts baked right in the farm market, delicious apple cider pressed on the farm from their apples, and farm pantry items such as jams, jellies, honeys, pickles and fruit butters. Other farm activities include pick-your-own pumpkins, weekend events such as seasonal festivals, scarecrow making, pumpkin painting, hayrides, Halloween parade, and a Veteran’s Day observance.

Things to know about apple picking at Duffield’s Farm: Duffield’s Farm is closed on Sundays. The farm grows five varieties of apples for your picking pleasure. Duffield’s Farm operates a farm market where they sell farm fresh fruits, vegetables, apple cider, farm-baked goods such as apple cider doughnuts, pastries, pies (including apple pie, of course), and homemade salads and top-quality meats and cheeses in their deli. Other farm activities include pick-your-own pumpkins, visiting with the farm animals, corn maze, “barn bounce”, pony rides, scarecrow making, and hayrides.

Things to know about apple picking at Hill Creek Farms: Hill Creek Farms is open for apple picking Wednesday through Sunday. The farm grows eleven varieties of apples for your picking pleasure. Tree leasing (exclusive picking rights) is available. The farm operates the Barn Market where customers can purchase New Jersey-grown produce, their own apple cider, jams, jellies, honey, fresh baked treats including apple pies, apple cider doughnuts, apple turn-overs, and caramel apple treats. Other farm activities include pick your own Asian pears, seasonal celebrations such as Grandparents’ Day, Johnny Appleseed’s Birthday Celebration, and a Halloween Fun Day Parade, historic reenactment weekends, and Family Fun Weekends including live music, tractor rides, pony rides, face painting, moon bounce, duck racing, train rides, crafters, pie eating contests, donut bobbing contests, and more.
