Keyport Fire Museum & Education Center

The Keyport Fire Museum’s mission is to inform the public on fire history, to promote volunteerism, and to educate the public on fire prevention activities. The museum exhibits a fascinating array of firefighting artifacts and equipment dating from the 19th century up to modern history. Its collection includes a steel section from the World Trade Center.

The National Guard Militia Museum of NJ presents the role of the New Jersey Militia and National Guard using original and reproduction uniforms, artifacts, weapons, photographs, and art from the period of Swedish, Dutch, and British colonization up to the present day, paying particular attention to the diversity of the New Jersey citizen soldier and his or her experience. The New Jersey National Guard since September 11, 2001 has a room, “A World Changed: The National Guard in the 21st Century” with a timeline of their activities displayed. The Museum also operates an Annex Museum at the Artillery Armory in Lawrenceville (151 Eggerts Crossing Road) Items on exhibit here include weapons, uniforms, and other equipment. Additionally, about 20 tanks, vehicles, and cannon are on display outside.
